Roast or toast for enhanced flavor and crunch. Spread walnuts in a single layer in a shallow pan coated lightly with oil or left dry. Roast in 350 degrees F oven for 8-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until fragrant. Walnuts will continue to brown after removing from oven. Storage: For optimal results, keep tightly sealed and refrigerated or freeze. If roasted, almonds should be used within 3-4 weeks.
