Customize your oats with a combination of nuts, seeds, fruits, and spices. Stovetop: 1. Bring water and salt (optional) to a boil. 2. Stir in oats and reduce heat to medium. 3. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Enjoy. Microwave: 1. Combine water, salt (optional) and oats in a 1 quart microwave-safe bowl. (Caution: Contents and bowl may be hot.
