Microwave: Because microwaves and stove-tops vary, adjusting cook times and heat settings may be required. Place whole package of frozen spinach and 2 tablespoons of water in a 1-quart microwave-safe casserole dish. Cover and microwave on high 4-6 minutes, stirring once about halfway through cooking time. Check for cold spots and break up clumps with a fork. Stir spinach thoroughly and cook for additional 1 minute. Drain. Season to taste and cover, allowing to stand for food safety and quality before serving. Stovetop: Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil in saucepan; add whole package of frozen spinach. Gently separate spinach with a fork. Bring to a second boil; stir, cover reduce heat. Simmer 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until frozen clumps are thawed and heated through. Drain. Season to taste and serve. Cooking directions: Not ready to eat. For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Keep frozen. Keep frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze. Refrigerate leftovers.
