Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Ground beef can be cook in many ways. To brown, place in a pan over medium heat for 6-10 minutes, stirring frequently, then drain if desired. Cook to 160 degrees F. 85% lean is a good all purpose ground beef. Use for burgers, meat loaf or any ground beef dish. Cook until juices run clear or to an internal temp. of 160 deg F. Keep refrigerated.
